WHO WILL HELP LEAD?

Nominations are now open

For the first time, we are looking for nominations for open PTF Officer and Committee Chair positions for the 2017/2018 school year.

WHO:  Anyone who is a member of the VCA family (current parents).

TERM:  The normal term for a PTF Officer is two school years and for a Committee Chair is one school year. Many existing offices and chairpersons have been in their positions for multiple years.

EXPECTATION: Each PTF Officer is expected to attend meetings as necessary and lead at least one committee.

PROCESS:

(1)  Anyone can nominate an individual (including themselves) that they think has the passion for VCA and qualifications for the various open positions.

(2)  Nominees will be contacted by a current PTF Officer to educate them on the position and see if they would like to accept the nomination.

(3)  The current officers will review and approve the nominees during the summer.

(4)  The selected nominees will be contacted and given detailed information about their New Officer role or Committee Chair position.

We are asking that you prayerfully consider nominating individuals that may effectively serve VCA.  We are excited about these new opportunities and what the next school year will bring.

Room Coordinators:

What exactly is a Room Coordinator?  One to two Room Coordinators volunteer each year to assist the teacher in the classroom.  These volunteers will coordinate class parties and send out reminders.  They will collect and shop for teacher gifts during Christmas and Birthday time.  They will help the teacher to find parent volunteers if there are any additional needs within the classroom (ie, tech lab, reading time, bulletin board decorating, etc).  This is a fun and exciting way to get to know other parents in the class and to get to know your teacher.  If you have any interest in being a Room Coordinator, please reach out to Ann Marie Webb.
